Church buildings

MBC operates in The Hub, next to Minchinhampton Youth Centre on Tobacconist Road - a recently-refurbished venue which is perfect for our all-age worship, children's and teens' activities, as well as being a superb and welcoming space for midweek activities for adults.

Our other main church building was built in 1834 and you'll find in on Tetbury Street. You don't judge a book by its cover, and you certainly shouldn't judge a church by its facade! Because we're a listed building, the rather forbidding outside, complete with wrought iron railings, can't be changed.

Inside, however, the church is modern, friendly, carpeted and well heated! We are equipped for multi-media presentations, a feature of our Sunday worship services.

Next door to the church is the Church Centre, the former Minchinhampton Institute, which is used for youth activities, midweek meetings and local community groups such as Brownies, art classes, etc. The original Baptist chapel in Minchinhampton dates from 1765 and it's still there, a private house and very much altered now, in Chapel Lane.

The one thing our Tetbury Street premises can't provide is car-parking space. Sorry! On behalf of our neighbours, we do ask you to be considerate - which may mean arriving a bit early and parking some distance away from church. Or you may wish to park alongside The Hub. The “challenge” of parking is one of the idiosyncrasies of Minchinhampton. Maybe we're biased, but we reckon it's worth the extra inconvenience!
